Ok, so I'm back finally and here's the thread I promissed. This thread is for original art we own that we'd like to share with everyone else. Anything goes(except the hardcore stuff-remember the children), and let's include say sketched and limited edition prints. Here are two of mine from the original thread, more to follow.

Thanks Tony. I got SUPER lucky to request that at SDCC 2003 and actually get it the following December. Most people never get their stuff from Art, he's just too busy. Now I'm crossing my fingers on the Galactus I requested in SD last year.

Yes, I met Art at SDCC 2003, and he actually remembered me the next year as well (my Galactus is first on the list of commissions, yee ha).
And good man for seeing the Runner. All of the characters in that piece relate to each other in one way or another from the many Surfer/Inifinity books Ron did over the years.

Damn, now I'm envious twice as much. I've never met Art and I've never seen him at any of the Wizard World con's that I went to.
Yeah, I was going through all the characters in the Cosmic Beings pic and there are so many of them depicted. Ron must have had a field day with this one.

This is a cool thread! Here are a few of mine.
I had Steve Bissette do a Ditko style Dr. Strange which he did freehand with a thick marker. I pose that next to a Reinhold "Clea as Strange" I got off ebay as they look good together. The Daredevil I had done by David Mazzucchelli (I got a ride from his Dad in Providence once, when I was hitchhiking back to my dorm). The Rick Leonardi pencils are hard to see, but he did this custom Cloak and Dagger for me - I was heading to a Yes concert that night so he posed them on the steps of the Providence Civic Center and threw a concert poster on the wall.

WOW. There are some great pieces displayed here. Drew, you have several that you MUST treasure! An Arthur Adams piece?? Sienkiewicz?? An original GROUP shot of the X-Men by Dave Coc<s></s>krum?? Ron Lim does the Marvel Universe??
I'm totally jealous :D Still... without your assistance, I wouldn't have the gem of my collection - my Adam Hughes Spider Woman (pictured below).
A few others as well:
Phoenix by Chuck Wojtkiewicz (one of the toughest names in comics along with Sienkiewicz), inked by Bradley Walton
Rogue by Mike Wieringo and John Lowe - which I got in 1993 BEFORE the Rogue mini-series. I remember him saying "Cool! No one asks me to do Rogue."
Ms. Marvel by Joe Phillips - This guy was a drawing machine. He was turning out inked sketches every 20 to 30 minutes.

There are a couple of others, but this is one in particular I wanted to share.
Thomas O'Connor did a pencil sketch of the Black Cat for me, also done in 1993. It's hard to photograph, but it's a beauty. The pic doesn't do it justice.

I think her boob is trying to escape! :DYeah, he took the cheesecake approach with the sports bra joke.
He had been on my list from the day I bought my first commissioned sketch and still would be if Drew hadn't cornered him on my behalf recently.
marvelboi- I would have preferred a more serious take on the character, but I was just happy to get the sketch. I realize that not everyone likes his style, but I've been a Hughes fan for years. I wouldn't say I'm disappointed in the sketch though... The picture doesn't do it justice.
At last year's Heroes Con, I met up with a colorist that agreed to take on some sketches for me. He does most of his work digitally and I've considered asking him if he could use his software to make some changes to the Spider-Woman sketch when I get him to color it.
Has anyone else ever considered having your sketches colored digitially? You still have the original sketch intact AND a top quality, professionally created print to display. Good stuff. I just can't stop spending money on busts and statues long enough to get anything colored :D

Wow guys, some great looking stuff. I never got into buying original art (I knew I would spend myself broke if I did lol). But I did start taking a small sketch pad to cons after I got my first sketch for free by D. Finch on a comic book. Here is some of my sketches I've gotten past few years at local Chicago comic cons, and the only one that cost me $ was the 3 Geeks one $15.00. All the rest I've gotten for free from some very kind artist. :)

First is my comission from Tony, next is a two page splash from Eyes of Asia, two page splash from Nightwing, and a Mandrake page from the Exiles. I have another page from one of the newer Exiles, the full page splash of Fin Fang Foom frying the family, by Calafiore. :buttrock:

The only thing I owned a Frank Millar page from Marvel Spotlight starring Captain Marvel before he died.
My sketch book from the Kubert school had a couple of Jim Balent sketches in it. One of Caretaker from Hhost Rider, and one of Man-Thing. to bad I lost that book, had I known Jim was going to be famous I would have saved those pages.

Thanks. She's my obsession, as if you all couldn't tell. ;) And Travis is going for a Jessica theme. I'm hoping to add to his collection soon with a sketch of her by Ben Templesmith. If everything falls into place for it that is. :) I really can't help myself. I'm hopelessly addicted to art, and if I were starving, I'd still probably spend the last penny I had on a sketch. :D (BTW, I love the first line of your sig. :buttrock: )
Everybody here has such bad ass collections. I'm envious! That Gwen one is stunningly yummy!
WOW, some great art I've seen in this thread too much to even comment on.
