Should Darkseid be DC's premier villian or will he always be Superman's be-itch? lately the Omega's have been punked by Superman, Imperiex, and Doomsday to name a few and don't seem to pack the same punch they use to. There was a time when Darkseid's Omegas was feared by all things but now, they laugh in his face when he fires them.

Darkseid is supposed to be a major villain in the weekly Countdown series that starts tomorrow.

Paul Dini is plotting. Although he depowered Darkseid somewhat for his Superman Animated appearances, he still managed to portray him as very twisted and dangerous. I expect this will be something of a revival for the character.:thumbs2:

A new Legion of Doom featuring Lex, Darkseid, the Joker, Mongruel, Solomon Grundy, Sinestro, Circe, Gorilla Grodd, the Reverse Flash, Black Adam & Deathstroke should be the premiere bad guys in DC!

I think Darkseid is step above these guys in terms of power and wickedness.

Darkseid been a favorite of mine ever since the "Darkness Saga" from Legion.

But, I don't see him as DC's premier villian. He's not associated with Superman clsoely enough for that. I'd still give that title to Lex Luthor.

Lex IMO is by far the main man so to speak. Darkseid is the major cosmic villian, but in DC terms that doesn't equate to much anymore.

He is my fav!

I guess I would say he is the premier COSMIC villain, but not the most or best used.

I think Lex or Joker, just based on appearances and recognizeability.

Lex got the better of him in Dini's JLU and seemed to have him on a leash when he was President in the DCU comics. I agree Lex is he main man.
