Okay, I told the boy the 1st step would be putting the core fellowship together. So here's where we are:
Gandalf Grey, Legolas, four hobbits, Lurtz (not a fellowship guy but I heard he was hard to find).
need: Gimli & Aragorn (anyone got those for a good price?)

unless you are willing to pay over $1000 forget about Aragorn. The cheaper alternative is the King Elessar statue which will only set you back around $300, maybe a bit less.

What about Boromir?

MIA :D Boromir can be had for around $175-200 and is one of the nicer human sculpts. Very good likeness

I'm just doing the busts, so I think they're a lot less is that right?

The busts are much less. Theres an auction on at the moment for the entire fellowship bust collection around $600. You could probably buy them cheaper seperately.

Oops, sorry I thought you were talking about the statues. Yes, the busts are definitely much cheaper. You should be able to get Aragorn for around $120, give or take and Gimli shouldn't set you back for much more than $60 bucks. I recently added the Boromir to my collection for $65.

Prolly not the right place to ask but since we're on the subject, anyone or anyone know of a place I can get a Gandalf Grey bust?

Oh I failed to mention at a cheap price! Absurd I know, but hey, can't hurt in asking :D

I would have probably bought the collection off ebay, but now I'm 3/4 of the way there.

Nexus, your putting together quite the collection! You have a Gandalf and Lurtz, both brutal to find off Ebay anyway. How far are you going?

What do you mean by cheap price? The Gandalf the Grey bust is one of the nicer and more sought after. Don't expect to find one for less than $120 unless you get lucky. Looks like eBay is the best way. I found two up right now. Both are at around $100 with 4 days to go. The first one is a bust/statue twofer and might be worth keeping an eye on. If it doesn't go much higher (which it probably will) you could wind up with a real bargain.
