Wait lists?

Ive put my name down on the wait list for several sold out dioramas on the SS website, what are my chances of actually getting any of these? From reading various sites on the t'internet it seems that I wont get them as they were long sold out, so why is there a wait list?Ive ordered the following.
Wloverine vs Sabretooth
All versions of Hulk vs Spidey
