Is this the first Sideshow statue that has increased in price (Not including really small edition sized items) before its been released?? I mean you usually see a statue being sold for $25-75 more than sideshows prices but this is already selling for BIN of $419-469+....Im not sure. The regular was $249 and the Exclusive was $279.

Most collectors don't know how nice these statues really are . . . Seeing pictures really doesn't do it justice . . so $400.00 plus seems like way too much money to spend . . .

Once you see it at a shop or a show . .that feeling melts away and is replaced with wanton desire . . .

The Doom PF has a Lower run but Cap is more popular... Especially if they do a Cap movie in '09... and you also have to factor in all the recent media attention because of his death... but I think Cap will get just as expensive as Doom...

Definately. It is the best Cap out there with a lot of variability in the way it is displayed.

If you are a Cap fan, then this will be the piece to own. I seriously doubt that there will ever be anything out there to match it in design and quality.

I dont think Sideshow can miss on a PF... If they do a big heavy hitter... it is going to sell out immediately... I was on the fence.. and now I am kicking myself... the stuff is awsome... I’m guessing that after receiving a lot of complaints about the strips on Cap’s costume Sideshow decided to make adjustments.

Is the red stripe or white stripe supposed to be in the middle under the star? I noticed on the box it's the white stripe in the middle.

Don't get me wrong, the piece still looks incredible and I am most probably in the minority BUT I have to say I prefer the non glossy pre-production version compared to the final product. Very noticeable in the flesh tones, oh well, still can't wait for delivery.

Those pictures are under different lighting. One is more natural from a show and the official Sideshow ones are with a flash. The flash can really throw off the actual colors/look so I am not worried yet.

Upon closer inspection, it’s obvious that two different materials were used. The fabric on the production piece has a cloth look to it and the fabric on the preproduction piece has a latex/spandex look to it. I personally prefer the material that was originally used on the preproduction. As far as the paint goes, like someone else suggested the lighting could be a factor to consider.

I wouldn't pay more for an exclusive whatever the #.I know they try to use a low # as a selling tool but I've bought Sideshow exclusives under 20 & in the 1000's on the bay but would only pay going rate or under...never over,for some sharpie that you can barely read on the bottom of the statue no way.JMO.

What's not to believe? For some, it's too big of a piece for their displays.

Plus, SS's QC has been crap.

I bought one and only one so that my fellow collectors could get in on the piece, too.
