I just can't bring myself to spend over $900 on bay for something that could be fake.

Nope, in my estimation, Cap falls behind both PF Hulk and Doom. I don't think Cap will ever top the Doom piece in sheer impact. :)

The only option would be if Sideshow decided to revisit characters with new sculpts. That's not even very plausible considering the large amount of characters yet to be given the Sideshow treatment. They'd cause a riot if they were to do another Doom before... oh lets say a PF Thor. And if it didn't cause a riot... I'd do my best to start one.

I own the Hulk PF and I am waiting for the Captain PF Exclusive but I have to agree here with rilynil, I doubt that any other statue will top the impact of SS Doom PF. It is just breath taking and it is definitely a visual center point on any collection.

Companies would start loosing credibility if they did that. These are called limited edition collectibles for a reason. You win some, you loose some. I (and MANY people here)had to pay inflated prices many times for things we missed and we really wanted. That's part of this business. Your BEST weapon is to start paying attention about release dates etc. Beeing well informed is the best you can do to try to grab some of these limited items without having to pay inflated prices later, trust me. :thumbs2:

That's how the business work these days, people like it or not. Point is: If you want to have something VERY limited nowdays, then pay attention, or pay inflated prices later. Some buy for investment, for the exclusivity, some buy to never sell. There's many kind of collectors out there.
