What's the last comic you read and really enjoyed?

For me, it was the new SinCity trade. And I know saying this here is taboo, but I kind of liked the new Avengers. Also, The Invaders, however the art wasn't very good.

I'm reading a lot of Sandman right now which is great stuff.
But new? I've been loving Black Widdow, Exiles, Punisher, X-Men.

Ultimates 2 #1. Really, really good stuff. I also enjoyed the New Avengers. Something I have been trying but, really hate is the new Firestorm series. I just finished reading 1-3 a few minutes ago and they suck. Maybe I just haven't read enough yet but, so far is isn't worth a crap.

Anytime a new Astonishing comes out that's instantly the last thing that I really LOVED....

I'm also really liking Millar's Enemy Of the State storyline in Wolverine. Oh, and yea Jesse I agree, Phoenix Endsong #1 was sweet.

Avengers: the Kree-Skrull War (trade). Written by Roy Thomas, with art by John and Sal Buscema and Neal Adams. While the story is a bit unfocused, it's still pretty kick-A, and the art is excellent by all involved. Great classic Marvel!

I have all 5 of the old Marvel Conan trades produced by Dark Horse. They're great! Sin City trades are incredible, too.

Favorites now that I consistently enjoy include: Fantastic Four, Daredevil, Astonishing X-Men, Superman/Batman, New Avengers.

I miss Thor...

wk - Thor still has a book out, no?

And wk, what other sets of trades do you own? I'd like to see your collection. Sounds like you are a mad-collector.

New Avengers #1, Astonishing X-Men, just got caught up on Supreme Power and really liked it, if a little slow.

I'm a couple of weeks behind so New Avengers #2 was really good and I just finished the Midnight Nation trade again.

No, Thor's book was canceled last year after the Avenger's Disassembled tie in to Ragnarok. There's rumor of a new Thor series this Spring or Summer, but not with the Thor we know. We'll see but this may be a tough hurdle for me to get past.

On the Conan trades, I've picked them up one at a time as Dark Horse has issued them. I've got so many sets of trades I probably can't recall them all from here in my office. Maybe when I finally get a digital camera I'll take some shot. I have my statues and books integrated in built in book shelves in my billiards room (Zurb's seen some non-digital shots). It looks great. But I have so much spill over that I have several bookshelves' worth of trades in my walk-in closet and bedroom. And I've run out of room for statues!

My wife would agree with you that I am a mad-collector!

I picked up Spider-man: Charity in the dollar bin at a comic convention this weekend and I found it surprisingly entertaining. Not a classic by any means but quite funny to see JJ and Spider-man go camping together.

I miss Thor too wk... I dont know if I'll be able to move on with a "new" Thor if the book relaunches either.
