Hi guys-
I am interested in picking these up- does anyone have a good set of pix , and are they worth getting ( i am only interested in these 2 -no others from any series) and what's a fair price for each?

thanks a lot!

I have mine tucked away, so no pics.

I will say this. I love watching STAR TREK, but I have never collected anything, save for Mego figures back in the 70s and now the SS 1/4 Scale Spock and Kirk. Generally, I'm not interested in the license.

That said, I love these, and can't wait to clear some space to display them.

I don't know what they're going for now, but doubt if they are that high. They really should be, as they're the best Trek items I've ever seen.

Snatch 'em up. You won't be disappointed.

Their heads are a little too big but overall they are pretty nice.

i thought it was just the pictures- if you can pick them up under 125$ is that a good deal?

Not a good close up pic, but here are mine. I like them and for under $125 each I'd get them if you're interested.

I like your shelfs :)

Those are nice shelfs. Are they screwed into studs or did you use anchors?

KitFisto

Thanks. I used four 50lb drywall anchors for each shelf.

If they're under $125.00, then my decision would be easy.

Does anyone else have working pictures of Spock on display? I just don't like the likeness (or lack thereof) on Kirk, but Spock's seems really good.

I see that it's selling for close to $400 on eBay, sigh. Is it really that rare now? Would love to get one, but not for $400, especially knowing it was only worth $200 in the first place.

Wait till the movie comes out. Then you'll see them spike again in my opinion.

I didn't even know there were Sideshow PFs of these, period!

Here's Kirk (http://www.sideshowtoy.com/?page_id=4489&sku=7106&utm_source=search0109) and Spock (http://www.sideshowtoy.com/?page_id=4489&sku=7107&utm_source=search0109). Couldn't find other pictures outside of the Sideshow website.

Here are some pictures of mine. These were one of the very first PFs Sideshow did, so they don't really hold up well to the latest stuff, but they're still pretty good, especially compared to most other Star Trek collectibles. The heads are a little big and the bodies are a bit awkward. The likeness of William Shatner is really pretty good (although the face seems squat somehow). Most of the other Kirk statues I've seen look *nothing* like him. Just look at the Sideshow Kirk bust below the pictures below.

I guess the PF's are nice enough, but frankly neither of them compare to the 7 of 9 PF, they totally nailed that one.

I've been watching voyager on DVD lately and just started season 4, which is when 7 shows up. In fact last night had her very first appearance right at the end of the ep in the silver costume.
I looked at the screen and then turned my head to look at the statue, with a grin from ear to ear :buttrock:

Whats up with Capt Kirk? he looks old and too skinny. He better hope he dont run into any surly klingons or he's done

Actually both PFs use exactly the same bodies as far as I can tell, down to using the very same sculpts for the left hand.

They look like some of those dolls they sell in the mall in Spencers or the video store. Not Sideshows best work.
I rate these 1 Bee-otching camaro

It saddens me that these are the best (and only?) 1/4 Star Trek statues out there. Still wish I could get my hands on Spock, for the right price--likeness is quite good.

It's obvious there was more work put into Seven of Nine, but I'm just not a Voyager fan...

Thanks for the pics guys, I agree with previous posts, the Kirk is just a little off somehow. Spock is good though.

i wish they would do some comiquettes or bowen would take on the star trek franchise

Kirk is not perfect, but you can totally see the likeness in person. I'd be interested to see if anyone can find a better sculpt in any medium. I don't know what it is, but Kirk sculpts are usually just totally off -- no likeness whatsoever.

Cases in point (in addition to the mini-bust I showed earlier):

Sculptor David James posted some pics here a little while ago of a TOS Captain Kirk bust he was sculpting & it looked great, probably the best likeness of the elusive Kirk/Shatner I've seen.

Something like this, but a statue.

I agree finding a good Kirk sculpt is very tough. i really wish Sideshow had finished at least the original crew in PF size. A few pics of where I have mine sitting.

is that 7 of 9 more limited than the silver version?

For some reason, nailing TOS Kirk is near impossible. I don't know why that is.

Its not easy nailing the Shat!!

Yes, Silver has 400, Maroon has 200. In other words neither are easy to get.
While I generally hate even doubling up on the same character, I'd have loved to get the Maroon version too, but since they go for like $600+, my Silver will just have to do ;)
