So how many people here have preordered this? I have been collecting the Adult cover versions and put my order in for the final book.

According to Waterstones in London they estimate 1/5th of people will skip to the end to discover the faith of Harry.

I'll just borrow it once someone else has read it. :thumbs2:

I pre-ordered it. I won't be skipping to the end cause it'll only take me like two days to read depending on what I have going on when it comes. Eitherway I can't wait to read it.

I pre-ordered the Special Edition for my wife. I'm sure I'll be spoiled for how it ends, because I'm reading the books with my daughter, and we're only on Book 4 so far...

And he goes door to door magically creating Watchtower pamphlets!

Seriously, I'm sort of bummed that the ending is going to be SO widespread. There's no way I can keep myself from being spoiled for this.:thumbsdow

Have heard that there are a lot of bogus leaks out there, so what you read may not be true.

Hell, I could make a list and have a chance of being right. And I've only read the first book.

I gotta admit that it amazes me that adults read this book. No offense or anything. I just don't get it. It may seem hypocritical coming from someone who reads comics, but it's still a mystery to me. Not just that adults read it, but they'll go to great lengths to get it on day 1. I must be missing out, cause any book that can make kids read a novel must really be something. Oh well...I'll watch the movie:)

A few of my friends work at book stores so a few of us went out to check out the mania last night. The book store I was at had almost 3000 people inside dressed up, making wands, doing magic tricks and so on. it was crazy

I just finished it too. It was great from beginning to end. The final battle was awesome. It definately would translate well on film. I feel that she ended the story with class.

I heard the ending is ridiculously cliche, ya know, big happy reunion and stuff...

My sis is waitng for a price cut before she'll get her hands on it.

Hey the "Hairy Pooper" you mentioned is making super money, who would be stupid enough to rip a million bucks lottery ticket.

The J.K Rolling lady needs more money to buy super short panty-showing dress so she could wear them to kids book signing.

Finished it yesterday, great book and a great way to end the series. Could have done without the epilogue though...

she definitely could if she wanted to eh?

I loved this book... what an amazing end to this whole epic thing that started well before I ever thought I would like it enough to get involved three 4 years ago...

It's good that people can change their minds no matter how late they get involved in the game...

Well she said that this would be the last of the Harry Potter series .. that's not the same thing as saying it's the end of the story or the series as a whole. She can easily continue it with the new characters and tell their stories now too. She's certainly created more than enough of a rich tapestry of characters and situations to easily keep it going, and frankly I hope she does. :)

I finished around Midnight Sunday and I must say she ended it quite well... Wasn't the best of the bunch but, a great read no less. I also agree that there is still life in this franchise and I wouldn't be surprised to see another round of books... :)
