I have the 1/4 statue of Doctor Doom.
I would like to know if it is possible to take off his clothes to have only his armor like on this pic (if it is not, why all this details on the armor ?):

I've tried but I fear to damage the statue.

At first, I thought you were asking if it was possible to take off his armor!

Yes it is possible (see your attached pic) but why would you even want to?

I think it is possible - but I wouldn't want to risk it.
Also, the cloak is neatly attached to the statue. So if you take it off, it might not look the same when you put it back on.

Yes that's what I was thinking too.
But it seems someone as done it & and I would like to know how (without irreparable damage)

Because the clothes surcharge the statue and I like the details of this armor.
When I bought it I had in mind to take off the clothes.:banghead:

This thread is a bit disturbing for me. I could never remove Doom's clothes....especially since it would surely destroy the integrity of the statue. To each their own though...good luck on your quest. :)

I would definitely keep his hood down as it shows off the detail, but leave the clothes on.

That's just wrong:stick: ... Although yesterday i wished mine didnt have clothes on because when i tried to move him a little a big-a** spider came out from between his legs (many jokes in that line:D).

His armor has the ability for him to eliminate in the suit and it breaks it down into energy. It is a self sustaining armor! The only think he does without his faceplate is eat!

Wow, I am surprise that Sideshow put that much detail in his Armour if it was going to be cover up by his costume anyway

How did you remove the costume? Did you have to cut any of it?

I'd like to see SS do a similar PF of Namor based on Jim Lee's art from the FF Heroes Reborn series...
I remember seeing Namor on a throne made out of a giant seashell

That Doom statue is the best ... I think that armor is based on Jim Lee's art from the same series....
