That's some crazy luck you're having there with PF T! So far (fingers crossed) I've not had any problems with them.

Out of all the delivery companies I`ve dealt with, PF are the only one I constantly have problems with. It got so bad in the past, even though it would state that my parcel was out for delivery on the tracking. I would still phone them to confirm that it was indeed on the truck. Of course this became a waste of my time also.
On one occassion I phoned to confirm delivery and I saw the truck at the end of my road later that day, but they still did not deliver. When I phoned them, they had no plausible excuse to why the parcel was not delivered. When I spoke to the driver the following day, he denied even having the goods onboard.
Anyways fingers crossed for tomorrow.

#192 has just arrived. Everything seems to be in order. However the small horn on his left hand side appears to be poorly cast.

Can someone post a large image of his head face on. I am heading off to the office now and don't have the time to post up pics.

Well I finally received Maul today. Pretty much the final nail in Sideshows coffin as far as I`m concerned. On opening the packaging, it looked as if everything had been thrown in the box. When I seperated the two halfs of the polyfoam, the light saber/ hand fell out. It was not even wrapped in the foam sheet, but just placed on top. The base had a huge scuff on it. Luckily with some careful polishing I have managed to remove it. The exclusive droid has paint missing from the black rod. On examining Maul I noticed 5 horns had paint rubbed off of them and a sixth horn had a paint chip. Not bad out of ten. Anyways spent the last hour touching in and repainting the horns. I think I`ve got away with it. Non-the-less I should not have to do such things on pieces of this price range or at any price range for that matter. Sideshows QC has really made me think about future purchases. I have really had enough of receiving pieces and worrying if they are going to be up to standard.

Maul is a great piece and I`m very pleased with him, but he has had his glory taken away from him by Sidehows very poor QC. :thumbsdow

I thought about returning it, but as it was paint I thought I`d have ago at repairing it myself, as I have done many times in the past. If it were damaged along the lines of something broken off, then I would have had no hesitation in returning it.
I was also concerned that if I had a replacement I may have had another piece with faults, perhaps something worse.

Had a hole in the side of my outer box too. As I`ve said before, the airwall packaging is good, but the shipping boxes are easily penetrated.

Some of the fabric pieces are lined with wire so you can make them flare out, giving the piece more motion/ movement. So you need to manipulate the wire in them. The other pieces without wire just need a little tug in the right direction.

Sweden here...kept my order for someone else. As usual, the piece came with flaws and has to go back. 2 paint-chips in the head-area, messed up paint over the left eye and some scratches on the head. Also, the battery hatch was missing and the base was somewhat scratched along the sides. I'm not even shocked any more.

Looks great from a far and angles that hide the flaws though...

Yup. Plus, i'm not sure, but it looks to me the left eye has some weird paint in it in the upper left corner. Like i said, i'm beyond being surprised and shocked. At least SS CS is superb and they stand behind their product 100%.

Regarding the base, if that's not a weathering effect like on some of the busts, it's not something i would accept as it looks even worse then that IRL. I know bases from most makers tend to come with some sort of imperfection but like i said, this is more then i would stand for. However, more acceptable then the face flaws.

Its simply cheaper to replace x% of the items as they are damaged as to inspect 100% of the items leaving the factory.

Replacing 10% of Caps could be:

10% of 1975 = 198 (rounded).

198 x making price of 20$ = 3960$ + (198*40$) for shipping to customer= 3960$ + 7920$ = 11800$ for the replacing of the 10% Caps with damage

Means its only 5,97$ loss on each of the 1975 caps. Peanuts compared to a staff of QC people with no gurantee that Cap is not damaged during rough shipping to US than to Europe.

Thats all.

SS with bad CS wouldnt be making any business anymore.
