Has anyone read this mini-series? If so, can you tell me what you think of it.
I'm a huge Avengers fan and it looks like this tells more of the first 12 or so issues of the team. Does it enhance the original stories, or does it ruin them? Please let me know what you think.
I've read it. It's a fun take on the Silve Age stories. The only thing I don't really like is that it puts the stories in more modern contexts. But it also provides more behind the scenes activity (especially, so far, with Cap but plenty with Iron Man and Thor, too) that it's like a Director's Cut of the early Avengers stories. I recommend it.

WKTF, well, I'm gonna try it then. Its an interesting concept, and I'm all for seeing Iron Man in the gold costume for at least an issue or two.
The art is really great, too! I saw on Amazon that the series is scheduled to be compiled in a HC book, so you may want to wait for that (up to you). No release date for this book.

I'm waiting for the HC. The story seems pretty good, and the art is fabulous.

I'll wait for it to be collected as well.
I'm hooked and will end up buying every issue plus the HC. I try to stop myself from doing that and just wait for the trade but, sometimes, I just can't help myself. This week's issue, especially the interplay between Thor and Iron Man, was great.
