Sideshow Collectibles, is releasing new merchandise from Fox Studios' upcoming film Aliens vs. Predator. Sideshow will be producing a new collectibles range including Dioramas, Maquettes, Prop Replicas and Life-size Busts. Sideshow has teamed up with Amalgamated Dynamics, Inc. (ADI), the special effects studio responsible for the film's effects, to create the lifelike Aliens vs. Predator Prop Replicas and Life-size Busts. The products will range in price from $99.99 to $999.99.

Fox Studios began the successful film franchise in 2004 with the release of AVP: Alien vs. Predator. This science fiction cult-classic gained instant recognition from fans, grossing nearly $175 million dollars worldwide at the box-office and receiving Best Film Music from the BMI Film and TV Awards.

Continuing the story of the ongoing war between the two species, the sequel Aliens vs. Predator is scheduled for release by Fox Studios on December 25, 2007. The alien beings will go head to head yet again, this time using a small, rural town as the battlefield.

No, the HCG mask is from the Predator movie not the AVP movie. ;)

Nope, the HCG mask is _THE_ Predator Mask, from movie 1, _THE_ Predator movie. ;)

That HCG mask does look awesome but $1000 is WAY over priced imo.

For each it's own. To me is very nice priced for what you get in the end and _THE_ definitive Predator mask to own. You get the most accurate 1:1 Predator Mask ever made by Stan Winston AND half of a 1:1 Predator bust(with canon shoulder!!) to display it beautifully in the wall! :buttrock:
So in the end you are getting almost 3x 1:1 props at once. Good deal in my book ;)

Yeah I hear what your saying cap, like I said it does look awesome and I like the idea of it being wall hanging. It`s just I can`t see why it costs $1000, especially when you see what SS put out at the same price point. I think $5-600 would`ve been more realistic. Hopefully i`ll be able to pick one up cheaper down the line :)

And I don't think you will see many deals on the net. It will be a HCG exclusive, and as far as I know, the sales have been pretty good! There's many prop collectors out there that have been waiting for something like this since a while(principally since you can't find the ICONS anymore, or when you do, it sells for $$$$)

Hopefully they won't be too much. (Although I can see them going for a fair bit) I need to increase my Predator collection, I only have a few bits so far and nothing great.

Did it say that the film is coming out December 25th? That's an odd choice.

I would think it would be like any other store in California. Can't speak for the rest of the country.

In California, if a store/dealer prices something improperly in print, they are legally required to honor that price until they have posted otherwise. Now that they've changed it, they've got their out. But if you got it ordered before they did change the price, technically, they legally need to honor the lower price... A good deal for anyone who got in on it.

Only issue is whether that applies to an on-line retailer though... ??

Agreed, thats what I was thinking. Thats why I was interesting in whether they will honour the orders taken before the price correction.

All I know is that they have to tell you if they increase the price, hopefully they will put their hands up and say fair play to anyone who ordered quickly. Oh, it's $250 in my account as well! :buttrock:
