paintmasters, some help on airbrushing fire/flames on BOTH clear resin AND regular resin, please?

your inputs will be greatly appreciated as always. help a brotha out.:)

yeah i have a yellow resin flamed base and i dont know what to do! lol

For my phoenix ll bust with the clear yellow resin. I cleaned it up, got off all finger prints / oils etc...

Then i coated it all in Tamiya clear yellow. Then i hit it with some clear orange and then clear red to get that flame effect.

Can do the same with solid colors. Solid is a bit easier cause if you mess up, can just recoat it over etc... Clear resins i suggest you take your time and make sure you plan your attack!!!!!

sweet!!!!! its waiting for me at car50n's shop. i was gonna get it just for the faux bronze. now i got 2 reasons. thanks danno.

Definitely build in layers. Also, remember that fire is brightest at its source, so anything close to the point of origin should be almost white hot.

Mike Lavalle does some incredible flame effects that can be converted to kit/statue work. Check out his gallery: http://www.killerpaint.com/gallery.html I used his techniques on the Balrog in AFM 37.

Dude that guy has some kick arsh flames going. i love his blue skull on the motorcycle.
