View Full Version : One Cartoon Character/ One Statue - Who would you pick?
If you could have just one cartoon character made into a statue for you, who or what would it be? Try and keep it to one character and not an entire cast of characters.
Personally it would have to be Igoo from The Herculoids. You can't beat a rock ape in my book.

I actually would prefer Tom and Jerry, but I guess that counts as two. SO Mr Bravo would be my single choice...

Mine would be a Kim Possible maquette w/ that little critter in the 'toon. Or a diorama w/ her, the critter, and her sidekick!

Haven't seen the Collectors Club one. I have seen some garage kits that were pretty good, but there always seemed to be something a little off on them. I have two pieces of art (one a poster design, the other something I designed) that we have always wanted to sculpt, but have never had the time. Because we do work for Disney occasionally there would never be castings of it. Just something for ourselves. There was a project we almost got when we worked at Disney to do a life size Jessica sculpture, but the budget wasn't high enough. They ended up creating a 2-D cut out instead. I'll change my answer to Quicksdraw Mcgraw. I would love to see someone tackle a line of Looney Toons or Hanna Barbera maquettes. The Disney stuff would be hot to. Never understood how they kept missing the boat on merchandising that stuff...

I have a set of Jetson's maquettes. Not quite up to Bowen standards but they are cool. George, Jane, Judy, Elroy, and Rosie. For some reason they didn't to an Astro.

I'll second the Calvin and Hobbes. At least for all the others mentioned in this thread, there's some sort of toy or whatnot. Nothing for the greatest comic strip ever.

The SpaceShip - from the cartoon Space Angel by Cambria Studios (They also did Clutch Cargo). Used to watch them on WGN with the Great Ray Rayner on his morning and afternoon kids shows. These are the cartoons were the lips moved and the characters/scenes barely moved. They showed alot of Toons (U.S./Japan) on WGN9 (Rayner was also on Bozo Circus as Ollie, so he had atleast 3 shows a day!!). Before they landed on the Moon
the SpaceAngel rocket took me into space -- That was a cool rocket.:)
