Man, that is SO AWESOME! I've had various versions of MAME on my PC for about 10 years because I just can't let the classic arcade games go (Asteroids, Galaga, Joust, etc.). But you've got a video game UNIVERSE there! Congrats! :buttrock: :buttrock: :buttrock:

nice job lehmkade :thumbs2: I built something similar myself ( though not as good!) but I took it down to make more room for my display :(

Awesome Lehmkade, can you go into more detail on how long it took, what you did to get all the games together, platform etc? Would love to build something like that one day!!

Sure. the steps I took are rather simple:

1. i bought a cabint kit from mameroom.com
2. bought a control panel from slikstik.com
3. had "snaake" draw up the artwork
4. had mamemarquees.com print the art out
5. use my pc to load the front end/emulators/roms/isos
6. Used maximusarcade.com as my front end and used their recommended list of emulators.
7. I use about 900gigs storage for the games.

there is another video in my videos that shows it being built.

let me know what you specifically want to know and i'll be more than happy to help.

That is one AWSOME kit you put together. Must be tricky to run the other emulators and game consoles. And that is one great artwork. How did you get it to run screenshots for each game? and do you use CHD files?

I'd love to have something like this.

How much would you estimate it took you to put this together?

yes, chd files are a must for a lot of games

for the screenshots, maximus arcade lets you set a button to take in game screens, and then they are auto loaded from then on :)

about 4 grand. the comp and game card were like 1200 alone. the control panel was 1,300.. art was 400 just to have it printed so that it was done just like real arcade art. ... and well... all the other costs.
