I'm just curious as to which roads led everyone here. I would think most of us were Bowen Forum refugees that finally found shelter thanks to drod.

After the closing of the original BD forum, many of us gathered at the BowenFans Yahoo group and were invited here after our benefactors put this baby together. Have you been posting with this crowd from the beginning, did you get in during the Bowenfans days, or did you hear about it elsewhere?

Any way to change this poll to public, so we can actually see who came in what way?

Can't change the poll once it's created. I was the first poster in the Original Bowen Forum and was invited by Danny to assist in setting up the forum here when the original Bowen Forum met it's demise. Statueforum has been great ever since.

It took me a bit to warm up to this forum (we fear change, don't you know), but it's become my second home. I think this is true for a lot us, as the Bowen forum doesn't seem to get NEAR the activity that it once did. I've barely posted there since its relaunch.

I found this site on the bottom of my shoe. I stepped in some gum and this damn url wouldn't come off.

Thank God I avoided that other stuff, if I stepped in that who knows where I would be posting right now!

And, for me, it was Zurb and Silverageguy who pointed me to this site. I didn't want to join because of how disgusted I was at the anger and ill will that caused Randy and Rocky to pull the Bowen Forum. But Zurb and Silver asked me to come over and, man, I'm glad they did. I really missed the fellowship.

Ummmmmm... THe 1st option shouldnt even be there because the original forum was gone and we all heard about it from the Yahoo Group...That's true, King... and I should have worded it better. I thought it was possible, though highly unlikely, that some people may have first hooked up with this crowd while we were regrouping under the shelter of the BowenFans Yahoo group.

None of the above. I found the Sideshow Hulk vs. Spider-Man diorama on eBay and Googled to find out more information about it. That led me here. If all that hadn't happened last year, I probably would be driving a new car right now. Instead, I'm hoping to get more miles out of my 303,000-miled Altima so I can afford more statues.

I was surfing looking for MB/FS pieces and was directed to the forum. I looked at some of the threads and it looked interesting. I made up a screen name, not really thinking the forum was a big deal, or that I would be sticking around. That was April 2006, and the rest is history. :thumbs2:

Found it following a search for statues on Ebay in which I found Soulfire: Grace for sale. Then I Googled Soulfire:Grace to see what she was all about and found this.

I never bought Grace back then and now it's far too expensive for my tastes,

I used to post on Bowens forum but then one day after it went away I found myself bored and needing something to fill the vaccum BD's site left.
Then Workingdog led me to the wonderous place that is Statueforum.
And I lived happily ever after.

I saw an interview Bowen did with JDH in a FPI magazine, so I owe it all to him.

Or alternatively I'm blaming him for the drain on my free time this forum is!
