Hey out of these teams which one is your favorite? The Avengers are my favorite. I really liked them when I was in grade school and the She-Hulk was a member. But after around issue 308 she was not in it that much. But now Spider-Woman is a member so woohoo.

Kinda tied for me between the X-men and the JLA but it heavily depends on the creative teams at the time.

Marvel characters & teams are the best out there...if I had to pick one, I would have to go with Marvel's 1st Family, the Fantastic Four!

The JLA but, not the current version. The Mr. Miracle, Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, Batman, Dr. Fate, Martian Manhunter, Black Canary, Captain Atom, G'Nort version.

The Avengers Are By Far My Favorite But I Have To Say A Close Second Is The Jsa! That Book Is On The Top Of My List Everymonth. These Are The Beginning Of Team Comics. It Jsut Feels So Kewl To Still Enjoy Thme After All The Decades. A Great Book.
The Avengers are it for me. After them comes the FF for sure.
Thor, Iron Man, Captain America, Vision, Wonder Man, the Beast, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, Yellow Jacket, the Wasp, the She-Hulk. Can't be beat!

I really like Marvel and the X-Men and Avengers are great, but I love the JLA! Batman and Wonder Woman are the Bomb and as a whole, the JLA are the more rounded team. JMO

X-Men since I was a kid. But it depends on the lineup. After that, probably Avengers, JLA. Son likes X-Men, Legion, Wildcats, JLA, Avengers

X-MEN all the way--I've been hooked ever since I picked up the first comic I would ever buy myself--X-men 215--it's all been downhill since then.

I'm curious, what was interesting about The Defenders and what were the key runs of the series?

The Avengers without a doubt.

Tough decision. I have every issue of ThunderBolts, but growing up I always liked FF and Avengers. Enjoyed the X-Men cartoon when I got back into comics. I'll have to vote FF, since their old school and I've always liked Torch and Thing.

It has to be the X-Men although I do not always like the line-ups, the line-up has to contain Jean and Scott, and either the other original line-up or some from the 94-140 team. Both teams to me had a perfect chemistry which have never been match in any other comics.
On the other hand The Avengers have more consistently good line ups it a shame I cannot vote for 2. But once again the early line-ups where the best. Although round the 170 -190 were good with the Beast, Hawkeye and Ms Marvel
I also love the early JLA team but some of the characters are now different i.e. The Flash is not Barry Allen.

X-men although I don't see them as a team more individuals.

I followed the Defenders during the 1970's and they were my favorite team at the time. The members consisted of Dr. Strange, the Hulk, Sub-Mariner and the Silver Surfer. They were later joined by Nighthawk, Valkyrie and a few others including the Cat, Son of Satan, Gargoyle, etc (although the last few were after my time).
I think the fans appreciated that the group consisted of outsiders and loners. Most of the characters didn't fit in with other groups. The artwork was very good and some of the stories were quite interesting. I liked the line-up of villains in the early episodes too (Wrecking Crew, Squadron Supreme and Brotherhood of Evil Mutants).

X-men although I don't see them as a team more individuals.
The first line-up was definitely a team probably more so than any other, the second also where team orientated, but now they seem to com and go on a regular basis.
To me there will only be ever 2 X-Men teams and that’s the once I mention, with maybe the addition of Gambit and Rogue.

When you think about it the most popular character from the X-men is probably Wolverine (not mine though) and he's totally an individual.

Amen. No way Wolverine alone is better than Thor, Cap and the rest of the gang. Avengers all the way.

Gee, I wonder who I voted for?!?!?
I think I liked the non-team aspect of it - it was like a bunch of heroes hanging out at Doc Strange's house and stuff would happen. Whoever was there would get involved. The later issues by J.M.DeMatteis got the quirk done right and the Defenders filled a void the other teams didn't.
Key runs are Marvel Feature 1-3 (First appearance of Defenders - Hulk, Doc Strange, Namor)
The whole run of the Defenders (1-125)
Including #2 Silver Surfer joins
#4 Valkrie joins
#8/9/10/11 involve crossover with Avengers in #115/116/117/118 and have Dormammu and the ever popular Chandu as villians
#14 Nighthawk joins
#24 Son of Satan joins
#26 features Guardian of the Galaxy appearance
#35 female Red Guardian joins
#44 Hellcat joins
#58 Devil Slayer joins
#94 Gargoyle joins
Try this link to see all the covers and tell me that this didn't look like a cool series.

X-men go me into comics and are the most entertaining team. A common cause unite them, and unlike Avengers and FF, aren't media darlings. People don't want their help and secretly fear and hate them. They have to be united, and as a family.
And face it, X-2 is better than any avengers movie can hope to be.
Close second, JLA. The most powerful team. And the best super-hero of all time is there, Batman.

I ain't gonna win any good feeling by this statement, but I hate spiderman. Second most over-rated hero in comics. First would be superman. :thumbsdow

Bullseye, Spiderman is like Superman to me. I don't mind having a few busts and statues of them, especially when done right. I don't mind seeing and owning the movies or cartoons. But, I don't read their books and am generally don't like the character all that much.
Wolverine and Batman are my two favorite heroes.
