Sorry. I dont have over 100 pics like Alex655321. :D

The rest of the collection is in boxes. :banghead:

Anyways, I'm not a big fan of nerve-wracking breakable glass...nor of clutter simulating mirrored backs. So I'm keeping it simple with a Billy Bookcase.

It's a samurai or some such character on horse statue made of stone powder (I think). Found here in NYC's Chinatown. :buttrock:

Looks better in person. You cant really see the details in the pic.

The plan was to get 2 bookcases a couple of weeks ago...but I ended up with one when I realized the spot where the other case would go is currently filled with boxes. :laugh: :banghead: :bawling:

And BC Nova I got for $100. :D

That's no samurai, primal! :laugh:

He's a real ancient Chinese general, also a legendary war hero.

His name's Guan Yu.
Legend goes he's not a human-born but a god-sent.
He was "form" in a pot in a temple that reside in a deep China mountain pit. The old monk received a message from god so he prepared a sealed pot for this hero to spawn.
The process takes 100 days but the old monk have to go on a trip so he leaves the pot to the young monks and tell them the pot MUST NOT be opened.

But out of curiosity, the young men couldn't resist and opened the pot on the 99th day.
Guan Yu pop out of the pot as a baby, with a red face... What causes the red face is the early-opening of the pot, the blood still flowing through his face so comes the red color.

He then raised as a normal man only stuck with that red face and has a totally unusual life as a war-time general.

Also legend goes his big @ss knife weight thousands of ponds and only he could lift it. And his horse is also a well known ride, can run thousands of miles without resting.

Chinese people built themples for him and still worship him even today.

Finally got Adam Warlock and Apocalypse since the last pics were posted.

Well I got 2 grails since the last time I updated....Thanos and Cobra Commander! :buttrock:

CC is an awesome piece that I started remembering about recently. He's slightly smaller than Bowen scale so I placed him next to a Genis FS which is shorter than other pieces and raised up CC's base a bit to compensate. It fits in nicely imo. : )

I thought about getting General Hawk but I'm being pickier with my collection. I dont think has has much of a wow factor as a statue.

That's a beautiful Guan Gong statue! I've tried to lobby ARH to produce statues of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms characters... not sure how successful.

The busts were put out by Diamond Select and are incredibly sculpted by Jeff Feligno, Steven Kiwus, Igor Fernandez, & Rocco Tartamella.
There were 6 Astonishing X-men busts plus variants and the villain, Danger (which I didnt get).

4 of them had exclusive versions:

Cyclops
Beast
Emma - 2 versions - regular & diamond
Kitty Pryde - 2 versions - regular & phasing
Colossus - 2 versions - regular & chrome
Wolverine - 2 versions - regular & chrome clawed

Got Koto's X-Force at SDCC & love it! It's really a great looking piece, moreso in person. It has a nice gleam to it which makes the costume look leathery.
