Superman Returns screenwriters Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris have opted not to come back and pen a sequel.

Thank g@d, those hacks tried to remake a classic.

Mark Millar is going to pitch his take;

It would be interesting to read Mark Millars script.

Millar would have an ass-kicking Supes. That kid better disappear, too.

They could turn the kid into a clone bred by Luthor, just like Conner, that'd be a nice way to sort out the kid issue.

But I'm glad the writers have left, it means they won't be going bak to the Zod well. Bring on Darksied, Doomsday or Brainiac!

Always thought Bizarro would be awesome on the big screen. :buttrock:

...if done right.

Rewrite. Recast. And for the love of all that is good, re-design.

Rewrite: Just ignore the last movie altogether (they're doing it with Hulk). Donner already did his take in the 70s. Let it stand on its merit for all time. Not have a pale imitation done years later.

Recast: Christopher Reeve was Superman. Routh was essentially directed to imitate that performance.Now it is possible that Routh could pull it off with a new director and styled to look older and more lantern-jawed. I'm actually not a fan of the TV guy taking over. But Tom Cruise's wife as Lois has got to go. So does Kevin Spacey as Luthor (he would have made a cool Braniac though). 86 the kid for crying out loud. I caught the last part of the Matrix Revolutions last night as it was on HBO or some movie channel, and thought how cool it would have been to see a Superman battle like that with either Zod or Doomsday (although I don't think it could fly).

Re-design-No more crystal Krypton. No little "S" on the chest. Metropolis should be a completely CGI city, not a clone of NY. It should be more idealized, vibrant, and a little more futuristic. And Krypton should definitely be shown in a utopian glory (ditch the crystal look altogether though). Should it be a (limited) superhero world, or should Superman be essentially the world's only hero? One to ponder. Would be cool for cameos.

Other thing is make one movie at a time. Studio love them some franchises. Which is fine if the movie is good and the $ is on the screen.

Coudn't agree more. Richard Donner did HIS Superman adaptation which I will always love.

Now, that could be interesting to see something more different........and bring us Doomsday:buttrock:

Right on about Matrix Revolutions, you will believe a man can fly (and kick the crap out of someone else at the same time).
