My wife wanted to get an ipod for my 10 yr old son for Christmas. I thought this might be better for him since it can hold 100 hours of video and has a radio tuner. He loves listening to the local station. What say you?

It's getting better. Make sure you get the second generation and not the older one.

Radio tuner is nice, but I don't think you will get 100 hours of video on it, at least not good looking video, Its only 30 gb so you will probably get about 40 hours of video and nothing else. By comparison ipod says you can fit 100 hours on the 80gb ipod, but that is at a high file size.

But for $100 that is a good deal.

The new one has a 80 GB HD. So the one you saw is thee old one.
