*bangs head on wall*

I mean...that sucks. I really wanted this pissed off robo-bunny. At least the 2 Resident Evil 4 guys I'm planning on getting aren't hitting that price.

It looks like I'll just wait around until someone gets one, then realizes they don't want it, and buy it at a discount :).

The price is no doubt a reflection of the intricacy of these pieces.

Tell that to a bootlegged version for half the cost ;).

200 for an action figure is still out of control if you ask me, and I know none of you did :)

I would have to agree, but some are happy to pay it.

I definitely ordered Briareos. Hell, I ordered 2 Deunan's so that I can have one at work in the cube.

Been a fan of the Appleseed manga for close to 20 years (before they started translating manga here), and bought them from Japanese book import stores without knowing how to read Japanese.

Even on the Japanese side, there has been a decidely lack of anything statue or PVC related for Appleseed (except for 2 not-so-great action figures that came out for the last movie) - and this is a franchise that's been around for almost 22 years.

I don't really collect figures (although Hot Toys has been tempting me with some of their military figures), but these two Appleseed figures are just way too awesome for this fan to pass up.

So laugh or mock if you must, but I am utterly stoked. :buttrock:

Kotobukiya is doing the same thing.
Can anybody tell me why general grievous is 200$?
What warrants such a price?
You can say it has more detail or it is more difficult to manufacture or better materials went into it but twice the usual amount of money???
C'mon!

But the good thing about hot toys is that it looks like a statue man. All the joints are camouflaged, so you can pose the figure in a more artistic or personalized way.

Anybody own this figure, what are your thoughts on it?

Briareros is an awesome character. I wouldn't mind owning him, but will admit that the price is a bit steep considering it's an action figure. And this is coming from a guy who will be paying $160 for an Iron Man Mark II. :o
