i know the ending of 2 thats why i didnt go see it a "friend" ruined it for me...and i never got around seeing the 3rd...im gonna go see it anyway in a few

The first was great but the rest sucked. The first had a good story and the twist was great, the sequels didn't have any of that, all they focused on was the gore.

I just saw it, and I am very confused....so the detective was helping Amanda?
but jigsaw's body was still in his lair?
but wasn't he taken to the forensics lab?
did I miss something ( While I fell asleep_)?

POSSIBLE SPOLIERS!! DON'T READ IF U HAVEN'T SEEN THE MOVIE


The autopsy scene was actually the end of the film. The events of Saw IV took place WHILE the events of Saw III were happening. Right after that Female detective was killed (rib cage) in pt III, Saw IV takes place simultaneously from that point on.

Jigsaw had both Amanda and the male detective as pupils, and he was testing them both to continue his lifes work. Amanda failed and the Detective (being the more loyal pupil) ensured that his work was done as Jigsaw intended.

If you look at all the torture kills, Jigsaw ALWAYS allowed the person to gain his/her freedom, as did the Torture kills that the detective set up. Amanda did not- she orchestrated all the torture kill situations so that the victim could NOT escape, and that was not what Jigsaw wanted in his "lifes work" - he suspected this from Amanda so had the other more loyal pupil (detective) clean up her mess and ensure the continued vision of his life work.

So think of part III and IV happening at same time, and it is the story of both Amandas failure and the Detectives success in executing the life works that Jigsaw laid out for them to ensure that his legacy would continue after his death.

I loved the first and third one, but disliked the second enough that it made me wait for DVD on number 3.

Ok finally saw SAW IV

I've always lovd SAW II the best. The whole group working as a whole (or not in this case) was always intriguing.

I didn't like Saw III that much, but thougth Saw IV rocked. That both movies took place at the same time was a stroke of genius. The other thing I love about the series is how well all four movies work together. A cohesive set.

I still miss amanda though.

i really liked this movie too! i couldnt stop thinking about the movie after i saw it trying to put together the pieces from 3 and 4. it was mind bottling (Blades of Glory quote)! i think you just convinced me to watch all4 movies straight!
