I used Floquil Railroad colors Gray Primer and the finish was rough/textured/grainy.
Did I do something wrong? Bad batch of primer? or Is this an inappropriate primer for resin kits.
Would Krylon sandable be better?
Has anyone ever tried Painter's Touch sandable primer put out by Rustoleum?

Most primers are sandable, so fixing the rough texture by buffing with a old toothbrush and/or rag should get you to were you need to be.

I would recommend Dupli-color, The Armory, and Tamiya Micro Primers...these work great, lay down nice and smooth.

That can also happens if you spray too far from the object, or in a high humidity enviroment

You can also take off the grainy texture with a soft brush dipped in lacquer thinner. It's good for tight areas or textures where you can't sand.
