Attakus: Star Wars Atlas statues line

Found some more info about the 2008 Stormtrooper, and it seems there is some sort of new line, consisting of three resin statues and three bronze.

The size of the new stats will be 19/20 cm.
Edition size will be 9999 for the resin stats and 2999 for the bronze.

The first pictures look promising, and now the stinker .. it is only for France and even worse you have to take an subcription to an bi-weekly magazine for the entire run of the magazine, 61 magazines.

If I understand it correctly it is € 39.95 per month for 30 months to get the resin stats, and an whoping € 55,00 euro per month if you also want the three bronze stats ....
If you would be crazy enough to buy the full package it would be € 1650,- ( thats 2,377.81 USD) for the 6 stats.

It actually is a subscription to a small replica metal vehicle collection; of which each one comes with a small magazine. The first few are cheap but then the subscription continues at 2 per month @15 euros each. Looks kind of cool if you like vehicles. There is actually a TV spot for them:

Not sure how to ensure you get these smaller Attakus statues though or how it relates to them.

I'm not gonna lie. As much as I would not collect this line, if there is a VADER, I would want it I'm sure. And if the pose is the one in the pic above is the one they use, thats pretty damn sweet.

@ Josh: You can always ask someone who lives in France to recieve the magazines ( and other crap) for you. And that person can send them to you then.

I have not seen any of the new "vehicle" magazines, ordered one and will get it in about two weeks time.
But the pewter figure magazine line were crap, not worth their money.
If you go the next verzamelaarsjaarbeurs there you can pick up some of those figures for an euro or two and check them out for yourself.
I cannot imagine the vehicle line wil be any beter.

I sure want these, at least the Stormtrooper, and for me it will be Ebay, and I am sure I will pay a lot less then with that abo.

From what I gather from MIB Dutch skywalker was right with the calculations in his forst post, thats a littel crazy. With the edition run being so high, Ebay will be the place to get these. I just hope they are scaled down versions of the big statues and not scaled up version of the metal series.

Yes the only one missing on the photo is the Boba Fett.
(it will be the last released of this 1/8 scale line)

For the price, it will be much more than 100€, I think it will be around 150€.
(the little metal statue is already sell for +/- 80€, so this 1/8 scale resin statue will be probably gone around 150€, a little bit more for the Vader...will see)

Ive bought my metal collection for about 50euro each, furthermore, the edition size is 4times higher for these pieces as for the metal series (9999 vs 2500).

Yoda ended at 136euro
R2 ended at 201euro
2PO also at 201euro

Pretty ridicilous prices for such a small statues with such a large edition size.

Hope to see some more pop up on the bay soon....

Thanks Josh, looks pretty okay to me, it's about the same size as the Gentle Giant statues i believe.

Ive checked my Attakus Atlas Vader yesterday in real life but I forgot my camera....

I have to say I really really like this piece, its of exceptional quality.

Get it when you can!! (imho its worth around 100euros)

I have the complete collection but its in storage.

I would pay around 50-70 dollar a piece for them.

Also, there is also a UK edition of this series. Not named atlas but if I recall correctly 'DeAgostini'
