I just thought I would throw this out there if anyone is in the market for a compressor. I know the Air Star V has been recommended by a few of the masters here.

Is this compressor any good? The one I've got now is hard to keep at a low psi for long.

I hope so, I just picked one up with this deal. Actually, I've seen Danno mention that he used to use this compressor and I believe this is the one they provided for the painting classes at Wonderfest. Hopefully someone with some more experience with this model will confirm.

If Danno hops in here and says its a good compressor I will buy one:)

The Airstar is a nice little compressor. This compressor (along with other light duty compressors like the Silent-Aire Scorpion series, Iwata Sprint series, etc...) can only seem to handle just a couple of hours of airbrushing per day. so if you are not a heavy duty painter...these are great.
But if you begin to get into heavy duty airbrushing, the Millionair is fantastic. I upgraded to this about a year and a half ago and is by far the best air compressor I have used. Very very quiet, very tight steady air flow...it is one heck of a piece of equipment.

Danno do you know if this Airstar model is good at low psi (10 - 12) for detailing? I'm gonna get the sotar 20/20 (with cup lol) and think my current compressor, a Passche D300, is too strong for what I want to do. Thanks!
