Hitman movie question

Saw the trailer for Hitman and it looked pretty good. Never played any of the games so does the movie storyline based on the game?

I think it looks laughable. The guy they picked to play #47 looks like the type of guy they'd pick to PARODY whoever plays hitman. He's got such a geeky boy look face trying to play badass. From the trailers he's not very convincing. Hope you all fun seeing this. But honestly I don't see how this can be any better then Beowulf.
Watch the acting truly be like a videogame...

But as far as the story well he works for the Vatican and goes off doing hits. You can pretty much just take that and makes as many "hit" movies (I hope not) as they want. I'm sure they'll prolly put more into it like a backstory to him and what not.
