I thought I had seen a thread on this before, but I couldn't find it. Anyway, I picked up "The Gravedancers" at Wal-Mart for $9.99 this week, and I enjoyed it! It was by no means a great film, but I got a kick out of it. What can I say: I'm a horror movie lover! :)

Has anyone seen any of the other "8 Films to Die For?" The previews to "Reincarnation" and "Unrest" look especially good. I may pick up "Dark Ride," too.

"Wicked Little Things" and "The Hamiltons" doesn't look that enticing to me.

Did they show these in theatres again or are they a bunch of new films?

Can you explain the advertisements to me.....

It would seem as though there is a tie between pornography and monsters....as each of the four billboards I've seen are appealing as they have a nude woman and a creature of some sort around them or underneath them or something to that effect.....??

Curious....???????

There are now 8 new films to Die For out there playing in theatres. Gravedancers was from last year's batch.
The semi-naked girl ads have nothing to do with the actual films. Just marketing.
Some of last year's were highly watchable.
I don't know much about this year's batch but do think the annual release of 8 independent horror-shorts is a fun idea. Hopefully, they'll be a few worth picking up on DVD in the Spring.

Man.. that was probably one of the worst movies I've ever seen. I saw parts of it on FEAR.NET and just couldn't take it it was so lame.

I hope some of the others were better than Gravedancers.

Most of them are just like made for cable movies. None of them were really scary but some were decent to watch if you have time to kill. I watched Gravedancers, Wicked Little Things, Reincarnation & Unrest (Unrest was the best one IMO).

I didn't mind Gravedancers. Actually thought it was pretty good. It just absolutely fell apart at the end which was such a damn shame. The 1st two thirds had some wonderful scares.

Thanks for the tip! I'm going to buy "Unrest" for certain. For $9.99, "Gravedancers" was certainly worth it.

I believe pretty, partially clad women have been used in advertising before now.

I got "Unrest" tonight at Wal-Mart. And I was wrong: Wal-Mart is selling these for $7.50, not $9.99. :buttrock:
