View Full Version : Guess the TV series/Movie Quote Game

Pages : [1] 2 3

This game is easy.

You have to guess the quote. Then the winner will post a new quote to guess.

You don't have to be specific if it's a TV series like season 5 episode 10 or something like that just name the series, to win

If it's a movie quote you have to be specific what movie in the line it is, to win.

To make the flow quicker you have to post if its a TV series or a movie quote.

I will start.

TV Series

"So how was California/florida?"

"Hot and Sticky like my ball's."

Cool! I always love it when my students draw on surprising sources like that. Most professors do, I think. I got lots of kudos for using quotes from the comic strip Pogo in a paper I did on Fear and Post-Modernism.

My [friend] insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly says he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself or is it okay to call the police? Here's one that's really important because we've got a lot of sports fans in this town: touching the skin of a dead pig makes one unclean. Leviticus 11:7. If they promise to wear gloves, can the Washington Redskins still play football? Can Notre Dame? Can West Point? Does the whole town really have to be together to stone my brother John for planting different crops side by side? Can I burn my mother in a small family gathering for wearing garments made from two different threads? Think about those questions, would you? Mike Burton used to say "10 bucks if you......." a lot in Ed, so my guess is "Ed"

You got it! Ed was one of my favorite shows at the time, and on my list of top shows of all time. It just made me happy to watch it.

Also, Julie Bowen is amazingly hot. (I think of her in the "Amy" role in the movie that should someday be made of my first novel....) And Molly, her friend, was pretty cute too, actually. :thumbs2:

Movie...not too old...

"They want us to be good little boys now so we can fight some war for them in the future. Some war they'll decide on. We'd rather fight our own war right now."

Anyone know where this is from? It's a classic TV moment.

"...And for ----, struggling with his law practice to make ends meet, don’t tell me he’s not victimized when one of his lawyers bounces around, telling clients and other attorneys that, according to his most recent electro-psycho-meter reading, he’s getting closer to immortality, at which point he’ll be able to leave his body and talk to zebras. At a certain point, we have to say, “Enough with this freedom of religion crap. Yuck. Yuck, yuck.”

"...Yes, I know. I’ll get letters.

Is that from Boston Legal? I don't recall this at all, but it sounds like the same style of writing.

That was the already classic Scientology episode from season 3... It was perhaps the best written episode of the entire series. What a great show.

Oh, and you are correct, sir.

Fiery the angels fell. Deep thunder rolled around their shores--burning with the fires of Orc.
