i think it's very clever. i laugh at the people who don't like this teaser poster. you are the very people it seems to be targetting.

WHY SO SERIOUS???!!!

not every teaser poster needs some dramatic effect. what's not to love? the Joker's turned the bat symbol into a caricature of himself. what would get up the bat's nose more than that? brilliant, i say and well done to whoever came up with it.

i'm not a terribly big fan of Batman Begins. it was alright but i have to treat it like an Elseworlds movie to say i wasn't disappointed. this teaser and the latest pics of Heath Ledger (who i'm really skeptical about) in costume, have restored some hope in me that the makers do 'get' it and that this sequel might turn out to be better.

My main problem is the tagline, "Why so serious?". The poster would have worked much better without it (corrected below). Another problem is that the graffiti brings to mind Jack Nicholson's art gallery scene in Batman, one spray painting Joker is enough for me.
