Source?The "source" is this Xmas card made by Rare that has everyone hyped and waiting for an official statement. I hope I'm not jumping the gun here because I also got caught up in the hype :D CO-CO-CO-COMBOBREAKER!! :buttrock:

It's supposed to give us an idea of the graphic style that will be used. The KI3 sock is a subtle hint that has everyone in a frenzy...well except you :)

Hard to say if it's true; could be Rare just having fun with everyone. Last I remember Rare said they weren't working on KI3 because of some sort a "contractual obligation." This was just this past summer, so I don't know if it can be true...

Then again, I almost hope it's not true as... well Rare hasn't been wowing me as of late. They seem to have lost their magic in my opinion.

Wow, Killer Instinct. I haven't even thought about that game in forever. Could be cool stuff on the 360 if it happens

First one was great, 2nd not so. I don't see how to really get that excited over a 3rd. It ain't Mortal Kombat or StreetFighter that's for sure. Here's hoping it's at least as awesome as the first.

WOW! is it exclusive only to 360?Rare was bought up by M$ so yeah anything they release will be exclusive to 360 (and/or pc).

A new, supposed leaked, list floating around the 'Net shows an extensive roster of Xbox 360 games rumored to be in the works. To the surprise of many readers, a few, never-before mentioned titles appear on the list with one of them being the most notorious: Killer Instinct III.

Another bit of info:

In this months XboxWorld magazine it states on the back what readers can expect in next months issue. Under the questionmark it reads: "and a KILLER secret game. Let's just say, it's a biggie, a reinvention of a CLASSIC"

Rumors say it might be a KI3 announcement...let's hope so :thumbs2:

It'd be nice to see another KI. Online play and all. I'm sure it'd look mighty nice in all normal mapped and stuff.

It's been quite for awhile but here's some new info,

According to EGM (magazine), the game already has a title: Killer Instinct 3D: Death, Destruction and Doom. It will be fully 3D and exclusive to Xbox 360. Rare has not yet officialy confirmed anything but where there's smoke there's fire :thumbs2:

Anyone read EGM?

Used to subscribe to it back in the 90s, it was IMO the best mainstream all console mag on the market. But they lost some people moved to another state and got to big IMO so I haven't touched it since early 2000s.

Hmm maybe not, the ultras are only 1 set of buttons that come after an opener. Its really easy to do an ultra. :)

The ultra itself was easy enough to start because once you pressed the button it did it all itself but I meant the really high number combos which required quite a long list of button and joystick presses and which you then ended with the ultra combo.

Still I would prefer they made it like SF4. KI has always been a 2D fighter with 2D mechanics - no problem in making the graphs 3D but please Rare stay off the mechanics. If it aint broke...

Just for Xbox? That would suck if it were the case but its way to early to tell, so I guess I shouldnt worry.
