Demo's out on PSstore
I dont have live so.. ps3

Looked phenominal best looking racer ive seen thus far
Ive been a big burnout fan since the second one I hardly play racers and sports games but burnout is the expection
I put at least a 100 hours plus into revenge

Im dissapointed to say that this MMO\sandbox style gameplay is really frustrating, I understand Criterion trying to change things up for every version but this is annoying beyond belief. When racing there are no arrows no pointers no nothing the world is open and you constantly have to either memorize youre map for turns or turn youre head to the tiny horrible little map on the bottom of youre screen( and believe me for a game like burnout those split seconds are a Big deal). First time I tried it i got fifth second time I got 1rst but regardless it wasnt enjoyable, this time its alot harder to do traffic checks so unless theres a low amount of traffic we are going to be crashing constantly. Any time you wanna do anything you gotta drive to this point and that point on the map its bloody ridiculous, its hard and annoying to get things even started. Im going to reserve judgement till the full comes out but deem me dissapointed as hell..:bawling: :bawling:

something else Ive noticed is that the R2 and L2 buttons really suck for something like this they are slippery as anything and just plain hard to use bad move on sonys part IMO. Ive even noticed that when playing CoD4 that I and others avoid using thoose buttons aswell.:banghead: :banghead:

I've heard these same complaints. It's a real turnoff for me too. I've also heard there's no crash mode. That's a HUGE mistake on their part. Everyone loved crash mode. The changes sound like a step backward for a series that had been brilliant up until now.

I know what you mean about those weird convex triggers on the PS3 controller. I've never been happy with how they feel. If they were going to copy the 360's design, why not go all the way and just put normal triggers there? As a result, racing games and fps games feel more natural on the 360. Well, that and I don't like how weak the analog sticks feel on the sixaxxis. Not enough resistance in them.

Anyways, I'll be passing on Burnout this time which will be the first time since Burnout 2.

Also a Burnout fan here (2 was the best!) but I also dislike the sandbox gameplay, it's just not right for this type of game. That and the abscense of a separate crash mode (it's implemented in the races) will make me pass regardless of how good the game may still be.

I downloaded the demo too.
The graphics are great and the map is huge.
However when i played there was hardly any traffic and there is a section of freeway that had no cars on it at all.
Burnout was meant for insane speeds and crazy crashes. I think these game is gonna suffer for not having them
Not having a crash mode is a big turn off for me

I downloaded the demo and remenber its only the demo.

I am enjoying the online play with others and the take downs!!!

Also the high speeds head on crashes are awsome!!!

I think its a great demo, what do you want for free???

I think its a great demo, what do you want for free???Non sandbox & separate crash mode is all :)

I doubt that will change just because you pay for the full game...
