I wish photography existed back then and there was a photo of her. I'd be really curious to see how Da Vinci interpreted her. Still though..very interesting story.

Imagine what you could get on Ebay for that painting.

And to tie this in to comics, read the Vertigo trade Chiaroscuro, which provides an account of Leonardo's life, sorta based on fact. It's damn good.

As much as we have daily horrific events (that are sadly becoming more commonplace as each year rolls by) we have to put up with living in this crazy era, it's equally as exciting to be alive and kicking when discoveries such as this are being made. This and that dinosaur discovery someone else mentioned recently.. wow. :) If I was still teaching, I'd be making lesson plans galore on this stuff. Haha!

Goofy statement, but I'm serious. :)

The protective hard plastiquesque case it's in is insane.. it's huge.

I forget what the Louvre staff said it was made of, but it was crazy thick.

Come again about the dinosaur?

Someone recently posted something on here about a new dinosaur species being discovered recently, or something along those lines....

...I'm pretty sure. :)

Unless I saw it on Discovery Channel and for whatever reason thought someone posted it here. I'm relatively certain I saw it on here, though. Haha. (Maybe it wasn't on this forum page, but it was on the SF forums.. somewhere). :)
