What artist defines Batman for you?
My definitive Batman was drawn by Don Newton (back in the 80s), with Jim Aparo a close second.

If I had to pick one it would be Neal Adams but I love Breyfogle's, Mazzucchelli's, Miller's and oddly enough, Bruce Timm's Batman.

Neal Adams by a wide margin. But I also love Frank Miller's Batman.

Neil Adams is good too.
As is Frank Miller. Although Frank Miller (for me) defines Dardevil best.
But again, everybody has their preferences.

Adams
Aparo
Breyfogle
Miller
Lee
Give me any one of those five on a Batman title and I'm happy.
Tough one.
Neil Adams
Frank Miller
Jim Lee (Batman is his best character)
Dave Mazzucchelli
Norm Breyfogle

Neal Adams wins this walking away, for me.
But I liked Frank Miller's take, and Norm Breyfogle, too. Lee's Batman was good, but hampered, for me, by a lackluster story.
I also love Tim Sale's Batman, from Long Halloween. Great stuff. :thumbs2:

Jim Aparo is Batman as Curt Swan is to Superman. when I think of Bats', I think Aparo.

Jim Aparo and Norm Breyfogle because they were drawing him when I first started seriously buying and reading his stories.

I always forget about Aparo--he was great, too. Still, I think Curt Swan is of far greater association with Superman than Aparo is to Bats, if only in terms of longevity.

I like all the greats: Neal Adams, Jim Aparo, Marshall Rogers (RIP) as well as the recent works of Norm & Jim.

Neil Adams, Alan Davis, John Byrne, Jim Lee, IMO they all have drawn Batman the "best."
