I was Pearls the other day and noticed that Createx makes a Gloss and Matte finish sealer ... anyone know how well these work as opposed to FFW or Testers Dull Coat?

Hey jesse, I don't know about this sealer. But as far as Matte finish goes I am told the Armory Matte sealer is about the best for a mat finish. But its hard to find I had to go to ebay for mine.

Createx paint (in general) is a bit rubbery and not a very sturdy paint. I enjoy using the transparent for washes from time to time, but I would never use a Createx sealer as a final finish.

Get the Createx metallics/pearl and pass on all the rest Jesse.

So Danno, would you have a suggestion for someone that had a heckuva lot of createx paint laying around, instead of getting rid of them all?...anything that can properly seal this brand of paint or blend something to make it stronger? :peoples:

Hey Barbarian,

I don't use Createx for airbrushing anymore, but here is what I would suggest:

Since Createx is not airbrush ready, it will need to be thinned and I switched from using the Createx airbrush thinner to Liquitex Airbrush Medium.

Any lacquer based sealer will help to protect the paint.

I have alot of Createx paint also. What is its best use for since its not the first choice for kits? illustration, T-shirts, license plates, or something else?
