nice shot Carlos. Here's my contribution but not nearly as good. Back from 7/4/03, taken with a Canon G2. No tripod, just pressed onto the ledge of the building. Midtown NYC 50 floors up :thumbs2:

no doubt. i find that my 70-200 is quite limiting when trying for good wildlife shots. just can't get close enough.

at some point the series will go in into its own thread..but since you dropped the wildlife bomb....

conservatively, from 30 feet away...this monster had to be 12 or 13 feet; shot in full sun.

You will love it. The picture of the bridge at night and the one after it with the two people in silhouette are from Sevilla. I have some pics I took in Ronda somewhere around here. Ronda is absolutely spectacular. Breathtaking really. We have a place in Cadiz and we go there every year for 3 weeks.

Oh I know. Ronda is amazing. We are most likely staying at a hotel right on the edge of the gorge. I can't wait. I know I will return with many amazing pics from that trip.

hazmatt, how far were you when you took that pic?

hazmatt
03-21-2008, 08:20 AM
I'd say + or - 30 feet. Focal length was most likely 200mm and with the 1.3x magnification factor on the Mark IIn...more like 260mm. My Grandfather used to feed the deer, so you can get rather close to them sometimes.

Zurb, those are great pics of Spain. We spent 4 days in Barcelona at the end of our last vacation to wind down and relax. I would love to see more of the country. I'll see if I can find some of my Barcelona pics.
