There have been many sculpts of this guy over the last several years. I did this piece right aroound the same time DC released the Alex Ross sculpted FS monochrome statue.

This is one of a kind, owned by a private collector. I wish I shot more pix before I sent him away, but this is all I have.

Fairly big, as I prefer to do with this kind of thing- 1/3 scale. Super Sculpey, painted with acrylics.

It's really difficult to get a company that big to bite on something they don't already have in mind.

That's spot on Ross's Supes... can't believe DC passed on this . Makes you wonder about all the fantastic stuff thats just sitting around out there. :banghead:

They were thinking "Wow! This looks too darned good, therefore we must pass on it, like
all the other amazing statues and busts that have been sculpted but we've passed on."

Not that I'm bitter at all.

I can't imagine why they'd pass on this one. Some people just do the stupidest things. :confused:
