My first two statues. The Logan statue is the one that broke me into this business( thanks to Randy for picking it up). I didn't even know who the heck Sabretooth was when he assigned it to me,lol.

I've got your Logan in my display case and consider it one of the best statues in my collection. You did a hell of a job on it.

I always thought the original sculpt of this was so much nicer than the piece that was released. Not that it was bad, as we owned it for years. By the time it came out Logan was much skinnier and the face was drawn. It would be great if Randy took another crack at it.

I remember when we first saw your Logan on this forum and how there was such a clamor for Randy to produce this piece. Logan and Sabretooth are perfect pieces. No need for another of either!

When are you going to get out from under the DC action figure crowd and start doing FS?

I remember when we first saw your Logan on this forum and how there was such a clamor for Randy to produce this piece.Amen... I was just thinking the same thing. That original Logan sculpt was a larger scale, wasn't it... 1/4 or so? Ray, do you still have the original?

Glad to see you back around these parts, by the way :D

The current Sabretooth is perfect. Let other characters be done first.:thumbs2:

Sabretooth is one of the best, yet underated FS that BD has produced.
Definitely one of my favorites...

Logan is great too, but I was suprised by how much more superior your orignal sculpt is when I first saw it...

no particular artwork however the general feel of Logans pose was inspired by a Wolverine comic that potrayed him much older. The name slips my mind..."the end" maybe. not quite sure. It was the cover to one of the first few issues if not the very first. Other that that I just kind of went with the flow as it evolved.

I tied my Logan in with this cover.
Have never felt the need for another Logan/Wolverine statue after Ray Villafane's. He captured the character for me completely.

Understood, but I had to cut something. Too much coming down the pike so this was an easier choice.

Hey Ray,....

Thanks so much for doing those. I do own the Sabertooth, but the Logan has been one of my grails that I will eventually get a hold of. Just got the FS (Artists' Proof) of the Juggernaut,...so in time as I gotta make sure my wife and I don't live off of cold cereal every day, you know what I mean....?

But yes, these two pieces ate stunning. I can't wait to eventually get the Logan. And yes, I will display it proudly as I've always done!!!!!

Thanks for all that you do and have done!!! You are truly,. TRULY talented and by far have always been one of the most gifted sculptors whose work I have had the privledge to come across.

Hey,.....so how about a Dazzler......?????

(Jedi mind trick in progress!)

Cheers!

I love that Logan statue. I was stupid and didn't get it right away and now it's to expensive for me to pick up. Oh well, thats the way it goes sometimes. Maybe one day...

Logan Wolverine is my personal grail! I've got Nitro comics to thank for it! Saw it @ $299 and put in the order for it. Saw it the very next day on Nitro website going for $349! Thankfully, I was still able to get it for $299. One week later and up until now it's going for $389! Think the upcoming movie's got anything ta do wit dat?:confused2
