Great costumes you two! I love the Polaris even though that's not my favorite outfit of her but major props also because I've never seen someone as one.

The Black Widow I think is your best outfit but my favorite is the X-23, shame you don't have any better pics.

I'd love to see your take on Fire and perhaps Fireburns, I'd be cool to see a good Iron Fist. If you do the IF, will you be going the old school outfit or the newer one shown in the current series?

I'm looking at the newer series. I'd love to do the classic if:
A. I was cut more like that, take me about two months non-stop at the gym
b. I could find a ripped 6'5" black guy to do Luke Cage

Those are awesome , I love the Wonder woman outfit . Not everyone could pull it off wearing something like that .
Thanks.. She’s a pain though. 2 hours of polishing brass to get her looking shiny. I retired her 2 years ago, only to pull her back out for DC last year. Heather only would dress up as Cheetah if I was her Wonder Woman.. And it would be a crime for Heather to not dress as Cheetah..:p

I would, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to do Sage.. She has been on my list for a couple of years now.

As far as Phyla-Vell.. I will have to do some research, I know nothing about her or her story. Whoo.. the hair would be a hard thing to pull off.. Even a fantastic wig, that short, would look off..

Well, Spandexwear went out of business.. If you still want one Jen, I can see what I can do.
But it's funny to see "copies" of her running around with my Endsong Phoenix vector on their chests.. It's also the exact vector I used for my tatts..

Great costumes, Miracole. :) I just found this thread, and briefly browsed it, your enthusiasm for these characters and costume-creating savvy is obvious to all. :) Your Black Cat, especially, is pretty cool.

RJ, the only person you're making out to be a douche here is yourself. Nice little rhetoric you had goin' there, but it became irrelevant the second you insulted Mira's love of costuming, which she's obviously passionate enough about to want to share with us. I'm not sure I see any harm in that. Most of us men on the forum are married, son.. it's more about supporting someone's hobby than it is about saying "damn, you're an attractive Mystique." This is the funniest waste of time I have ever seen...

It's completely funny that you say you are looking for "actual" sculpted art. The two businesses you hotlink to are for recasted religious artifacts and architectural columns. You are a recaster of other people's art.

Douchebag.

This is the funniest waste of time I have ever seen...

You certainly have a good following with the guys here...:rolleyes2

And to think my girlfriend gets angry at me for not watching her and her friends when they are trying on new outfits at different dancer shops and when the house Mom comes in with new outfit designs.

You guys need to go to a site like napkin nites....

And I want to find a thread with some actual sculpted art!
:D

I have been following this thread, enjoyed it, never posted until now. I think you and your husband are awesome! Great costumes. You're also a very talented and beautiful lady but I think you already know that. :)

How about a photo of you and your husband in regular 'civvies'?

I have been into costuming for 7 years.. Mostly Renaissance garb for the first few.. Then superhero duds for the last 5. I used to fabricate, on average, 10 new costumes a year.. But.. Financially, I have had to slow down a lot! That, and I am running out of characters that I want to portray. I have to really love a character for me to cosplay her.. Thank you for the compliment on my costumes. Just like just about everyone on here, I really love my hobby!

It's been a while since I have added new photos..

Here are a few from DragonCon 08!

Chris débuted his Iron Fist and dawned Red Skull.. And me, I did a FIRE/ICE group with my very talented and lovely friend Riddle.
I also wore Black Cat for Project 96.1, and Spider Woman in the parade.

Far less costuming this year, far more partying with friends! It's always a great time. If you haven't experienced it; I highly recommend it!

Did anyone else on the forum go?

Beautiful work! It has actually prompted me to get off my butt and stop thinking about making my Wonder Woman and just make her already. A couple questions though (if you don't mind me picking your brain that is).

Exactly how heavy is the metal at the top. It looks like it might be connected to the belt??? I don't have the knowledge to do the metal work so I'd also thought about making it out of Sculpey... I know they make a light weight. Any thoughts on that? (Since this is a statue site too) My fiance and I were kind of arguing that he thinks Sculpey will be too hard and that I'll need to to flex. Well the other day at Michael's I discovered that Sculpey makes a clay that is bendable after it's been baked, but I'm not so sure how well it'll paint up.

I'd also thought about making a White Queen at some point (being as we share the same last name) but she doesn't pose as many of the difficulties for me as good old Diana Prince does. :)

Well like I said... amazing work.

Great shots, fireburns. I love this 2nd pic. of Ironfist, you really captured Danny Rand with this one. Great use of PS.
Your wife's costume is, as usual, outstanding.

Great costumes! My wife and I were Han Solo and Leia at Halloween last year. Will have to find the photos.

BTW think you need to go for the Sith Leia costume. Maybe friend Heather would like to do this one. See pix on ebay.

Thanks for the support guys!
I do tend to be a little detail driven when it comes to costumes. But I can't take credit for the costume or setting above. The set was put together by Zen. He even had the "bed" built for this specific photoshoot.. And the costume was just first-aid gauze (that I superglued in some places). The wig was his as well. Man it was heavy! And it would fall forward and look a bit like a Pompadour!

Awesome stuff, Miracole. How many marriage proposals from, er, anxious fanboys do you get per week? :)

Hmm.. Is that counting yours?? If so, a lot! :wink2:

Did I propose? I don't think so. You'll have to buy me dinner and take me to a movie first. :D

Actually, I am currently obsessed with this cosplayer girl who makes all sorts of costumes from the Venture Brothers show on Adult Swim. I am a huge fan of that show and so am smitten:
