Hi All,

I'm a new member here.
Great Board!
Has everything I like.

Here's a cowl my wife and I put together. Since I'm an old guy it's the first cowl I saw as a kid. The 1966 Adam West Batman cowl.

It's made with all original materials plus an upgrade or two.
Thanks for looking and it's a pleasure to be here.
All the best,
Chuck...

Thanks Everyone!

The shell form is fiberglass.

The fabric is called Lastex and is no longer being made unfortunately. It took over 18 months to find it once I knew what I was looking for.
It's custom dyed to match a sample of the original color.

I'll dig around for some in progress shots. Any particular stage you'd like to see?

Thanks again!

EDIT: I see you are already, I must have missed it when you put it up.

And when I hit the lotto and order my 66 Batmobile replica.

Thanks so much Guys!!!!!

It's been a goal of mine to have a replica cowl since I was a kid.
It's taken quite a while but I think it's done....until I tweak it again!
I couldn't have done it at all without the help of my supremely talented wife Lynne who did the pattern work and sewed the covering together.

Here are a few shots of it being made.
The original plug and an early shell casting.
