Ray,

Glad you got some space to yourself! Even if it's only virtual space.

Anyhow, I was wondering about your build up process in wax. The question being, do you create a rough in another material then waste mold for your wax, or how do you build up? I know Tony once joked that you built up your pieces drip by drip. Somehow, I figured that wasn't too far from the truth.

So, how do you do it?

I used to always do the waste mold thing for wax but would always find myself dripping lots and lots of wax because my roughs are so rough. I have on occasion dripped some components of a sculpture from scratch but nothing too large, maybe a fist or head. Recently I have been roughing things out(keeping it slight) in Gary's max wax and then coating the piece in Ralphs TMS wax by dripping, lol. Not sure if I'll always do this but it's worked well for my last couple of pieces.
