Why do you guys think the Treebeard bust has not jumped up in price too high yet? What would you pay for one right now? Thanks

Treebeard has always been sort of an overlooked statue, and I don't know why!! The thing is HUGE, and very well done. W/ a good paint job, it would be AWESOME!

What would I pay? No higher than $400 - 450, but that's just me.

'course, I have one now.... :D

your talking around the $500 mark. I need to pic one of these up too. Its only a matter of time before they take off. The Stone Trolls have been static for a long time but are at last starting to go up in value. In my opinion Treebeard is the best bust bar none.

This is an overlooked "statue".
The thing is very big and limited to 1500.
The detaling is very well done.

I would put out about 450ish for him (if I didn't have him already).

I've been watching him closely as well. Could have gotten him a couple of times for around $400 or less, but just felt I could get him cheaper. If anything I could always wait for WWC.

That isn't bad for shipping. I've seen others from $20 and up which got me thinking it was worth waiting. But who knows now.

It's cause you're from the Bronx! :P I could say I'd get him for roughly $450. But being that that was last year prolly 500 now. Still WWC is the biggest in Chicago, but we still have smaller ones year round almost.

They gave me 3 prices. 1 for overnight=50ish. 2nd was for 2-3 days for 15ish 3rd for 4 days at around 12ish.Seemed reasonable.

Can someone post a pic of this bust next to another one to see the difference?
I was looking at the dimensions and it states almost 18" high and 13" deep.
Thats bigger than most of the statues. Yikes!!
Also, theres some guy from NZ selling 5 of these for $500 a pop. $40 shipping. High right now but this time next year it will probably be viewed as a good deal.

Unfortunately mine is in the box and not readily accessible to shoot some pics for you. It is downright HUGE. Larger than any Bowen full size statue if that helps. I think you are right. At some point $500 is going to be a bargain. There are only 1500 in existence. I do believe at some point in the last year the pricing on these was around $600. Came back down for a while and is now going back up.

Can't have that. I'm working on getting fired and my family should be divorcing me shortly. Should have plenty of time soon to set this display up.

No, no thinking involved. We ARE going to WWC this year. I will make it if I have to use my super-secret hitchhiking thumb. Here is an older shot I have of mine. You can see it's huge!

A whole new house addition the way I'm goin. Maybe build up? The only 4 story cape cod I know of. I'll just call Nahm from New Yankee Workshop, have him whip me up an addition and some family heirlooms quick. Between SS, Bowen, and GG I am fresh out of room!! With loads more on the way.

Comicboy

Nahm RULES! That guy can whip up a family heirloom in seconds flat! He blows Vila out of the water! It's funny on the old "This Old House" shows Nahm was the real reason that show worked. Everytime, Bob got in the way. He'd ask question's and the guys are looking at him like he's a complete tool. Don't get me wrong, Vila knows his stuff, but more as a general contractor, not the skilled laborer.
