Anbody read Ted dekker?

I picked up a book by him last week (Black). The jacket makes it sound like a "Talisman-esque" novel but I noticed the genre was Christian. Does anybody know if this guy is an overtly Christian writer? I enjoy a good story like anyone but I don't want to be preached by it.

I've read the first two books in the series. It has Christian overtones but I would say they are not preachy. pretty good story. I had actually heard his other books are even better.
