Appleseed Ex Machina DVD

What a great movie this was. Lots of action, good story, and some of the best computer animation I've seen to date. This is coming from someone who is not a big fan of Anime and had no idea what the story of Appleseed was. :thumbs2:

If they had just said something about it being a followup, or taking place after the events in Appleseed on the back of the DVD, I would have bought this ages ago. I'll have to pick this up now myself.

There are 3 Appleseed movies. The 2007 movie is a sequel to the 2004 reboot

I have the 2004 one. Actually, I may have picked it up on your recommendation. :)

I have never run into the 1988 one. Is it the same as the 2004 one?

The 2007 one is now on my buy list.

I'm working on private a life size of Briareos bust , I'm really having a great time sculpting him !!! Hope to have the " OK " from the owner to show of some images once it done !!

So there are 3 storyline to this? I have the 2004 one. I shoulda bought the 2007 a few months ago when first release at a lower price. Is the 1988 the same as 2004?

i agree pat! just rented this bad boy last week, and loved it. deff gotta add it to my collection and watch the first (2004) one, which i believe is a remake of the earlier (1988) one. but yeah, i loved this movie, didn't realize how awesome briareos was, i just always liked how he looked.

Check out Vexxville guys. Much better than Appleseed IMO.

I didn't enjoy Exmachina as much as the previous one, still pretty good though.
