Gorgeous piece by the way! I would be happy enough with just the bust! So you got no box with this guy? Lucky he came intact. My DD yellow fell casualty to damage :(

What sort of packaging was around that? Congrats by the way.

Ghost
03-11-2005, 06:01 AM
Looks like he's covered in napkins, or that poly sheet stuff then wrapped in bubble wrap. I just noticed, but is his helm removable? I don't see the spikes in the "packed" pic.

Aww man, don't I get to play?? Sweet Zurb!! The WK is one of the absolute best pieces. Find him a nice, safe home. Get some motion detector sensors with an electrified area on the floor. If someone tries to touch it ZAP em'

I paid enough, but less than what it is going for. And you assume way too much. I have no money. Talk to my wife.

I had a collection of Bowen and all sorts of other pieces which I built up over the years. I pretty much sold all of it to be able to pay for the SS LOTR collection.

and what a sad thing that had to be... I couldn't imagine selling all my Bowen stuff. On the other hand you have got yourself an amazing collection! Worth it? Only you can know in the long run, but I would have to think... yes.

Ok I'll talk to your wife...

You have no money? I know how you feel... Welcome to the club! :)
I have to sell parts of my collection too. Plus I'll try to get some money with my own sculptures (no, they aren't finished yet.).
Zurb, switching to the SS LOTR collectibles is a wise decision!

My money's all in polystone
I think I did the right thing in selling off the rest of my collection. I'm not regretting it and am looking forward to displaying the SS LOTR line. It should look nice.
Are you sculpting anything from LOTR? I've seen some of the stuff you've shown us and it is amazing work.

For sure. She's a pip, let me tell you. On the weekends we like to have a family movie night where we break out a new DVD and all watch it together. I'm trying to get them to go for EE LOTR but they seem to be more interested in stuff like Sponge Bob and Princess Diaries, etc. When we do the family night thing my little one likes to set up a whole movie theatre thing. She writes up movie tickets and sets up a concession area and makes us pay for the popcorn and tickets. Anyway, on the last movie night as I get on line to get my tickets and stuff she hands me a note. I have it here with me because it is just too much. This is what the note says, spelling errors and all:

Mom Today in family night we give you stuff for free. Dad has to pay 100 dolers because he was a jerk

That's my kid.
