This is actually pretty kewl. Makes you think if they'll make a Bag End or Hobbiton environment.

Check out this thread for others that may get done. That's cool it's getting done, I would like to see the Amon Hen as well as the Argonath and Buckleberry Ferry. But more than anything I would love those shields!

Weathertop looks great. I'm looking forward to it. There were quite a few interesting items in the newsletter. The Flight From Isengard Plaque is going to be limited to only 1,000. A nice low number. I'm glad I ordered one and at this point it's the only depiction of Gwaihir we have seen in the line (not counting the giclee). Probably the most interesting item is the shipping update on Sauron, 4th Quarter 2005! Wow, a year late. I guess this massive piece is just taking a long time. I speculated to Rick that I would not be surprised if, with the history of breakage on some of the bigger more intricate pieces, they are cranking out quite a few more of these, to provide for replacements for damaged pieces. That would also take time and could account for the delay. Regardless, this bad boy is going to be spectacular, and I am willing to wait as long as it takes if it is done right and can be put in my hands safely.

Bullseye, I don't think any of the other pieces have been officially announced but since we have seen a few of these I think there is a good chance we we see some if not all of the others that Skulpt posted.

In addition to the information I provided above, there were also a few shipping updates in the newsletter:

Merry helm - #9535 - April 2005
Battle Troll helm - #9536 - Now 2nd quarter 2005

Also, the Seige Tower Troll Maquette/Bust is scheduled to ship in the next 30 days.

Was this Weathertop announced at Toyfair. I can't remember seeing it. So there could be a few additional pieces showing up between now and SDCC, most likley environs and helmets with maybe some weapon sets. I hope no more statue releases for this year. Hopefully the announcements for SDCC will be for 2006.

I really want Sauron already. I've yet to see any pics of the Shield sets. Anyone have any pics?

I found a few more pics of Weathertop. If the one with it surrounded by the Helms is any indication, this is going to be a tiny Environment, more along the size of Minis Tirith and Minas Morgul than that of the Golden Hall or Helm's Deep. That pic by the way was taken in 2001 at SDCC so who knows, it might have changed in the meantime.

Zurb don't hate me for saying this but that environment looks poor. Its a pity they aren't twice the size.

No problem Bulls, but don't write it off just yet. Those are old pics.

My friend got the Minas Morgul and it looks cool. I would have been more interested in these pieces if they where double the scale they are now.

Minas Morgul and Minas Tirith are both very cool and would definitely have been killer pieces if they were only bigger. Minas Morgul could also do with a new paint job. Orthanc is another piece that is absolutely an awesome sculpt and would have been that much better if only a bit bigger.

It would have been awesome if it were say 2 ft tall.
