as much as i HATE the idea of live action adaptions of....well of just about everything i think Bebop has the most decent chance of not being completly god awful, sure it's set in space but theres not much crazy sci fi in it aside from the ships. no creepy aliens or crazy powers, hell even the guns are regular. so it MIGHT work, but i still doubt it:p

I've only seen 10 or so episodes of Cowboy Bebop but I really liked what I saw. What I absolutely loved and am seriously gonna buy the boxed-set at Best Buy soon was Outlaw Star. Wearn't the two shows related somehow? Like the bar where everyone drinks?
Is this right? Anyone know how Cowboy Bebop and Outlaw Star connect?

I once watched Outlaw Star with a group of folks on Manga Night at a LCS. There was a scene in a bar where the Outlaw Star Crew regularly drank and many of the Manga-Heads recognized either the bar or some of those drinking there from Cowboy Bebop (I'm foggy on the details). I was just passing through and wasn't yet an Outlaw Star fan at the time so I didn't follow through w/ questions. I've heard from another source (anime guy) that the two shows share the same universe and touch on occasion.
Sinse I've only watched a few Cowboy Bebop eps. I can't know for sure.
Just checke whikepedia and all they say is thet the 2 shows came out at the same time and that Outlaw Star did have it's own 13 ep. spin-off. Weird, I was sure I'd heard the 2 were connected.

well this is only a guess, but the only recurring people in Bebop aside from the crew and Vicious are a group of 3 old men who randomly pop up in episodes and are usually seen drinking, so if anybody was at a bar it was probably them

This is one of my favorite animes. I was glad when Bandai released the remix episodes in a cheap collection. The Cowboy Bebop movie was good as well.

I'm not into my Anime/Manga greatly but I want to start, I was addicted to DB and DBZ, I have also watched Fists of the North Star and enjoyed it.
