I was on Superhero Hype & thought I'd pass this on. I wasn't even aware that Warner Brothers was going forward with this. It was released here in the 80's as Battle of the Plantets. Can't wait for this one.....

Sadly, I see this going the way of the Americanized cartoon, and not in the direction of the original series. I'm holding out hope, though. I remember watching the series in Japan, and then coming back to the States, seeing Battle of the Planets, and thinking "WTF? They swapped those two guys' names, and that guy was supposed to die in a gory battle, and why does she sound like -that-?" :laugh: It was quite a shock for a kid fresh off the plane from overseas.

Agreed, one example is the Transformer animated which was a total abomination...

The original series was one of THE finest cartoons ever made along with Space Battleship Yamato(Starblazers) and Gundamn 0079.

Just pray they don't mess it up...

trying to buy the gatchaman collectors sets. holly crap set 7 goes for a lot of money cause they are the ones not released in battle of the planets for america. oh well. keeping my eye on it. not long for this to come out. i am getting excited.
