I was given a sketch done by Walt, but I never got the chance to speak with him about it. I did actually hear from my art director that Mr Simonson was very happy with the end result.

From a work standpoint it was a pretty difficult piece to get right. Lots of areas that were a challenge to create in sculpture. Also the factory messed up the assembly. His right arm was originally pointing very straight...it was an aggressive attitude with the gun, which now looks quite passive. I guess it's a small thing if you never saw the original sculpture, but it really makes the sculpt a little less powerful than it should be.

I simply love this statue...just wish it was bigger.

Finally after months of trying I just scored one on eBay...and am very happy to add this gem to my collection.

Great work, congrats and thanks for making one of my favorite characters come to life.
