I mean Shadowfax!!! Imagine that! First dwarf tossing now, dwarf riding! Anyways, Zurb you were right, I got him to check and it finally came in. Patience is a virtue after all. One mishap though, which I'm beating myself over and over about :banghead: I believe to have pulled the tissue paper a bit when I was trying to tear it to pull him out and I ended up snapping a piece of Shadowfax's hair off towards the bottom where Gandalf's legs are. Clean cut, I have the piece in hand, I'm just pissed that it happened. I can glue it back on without much labour but as always, we know what we did and what has happened.

But golly gee is this bad boy heavy!!! I'm like trying to figure out how to pick him up without snapping any particular part of him! My family saw this and loved it right away. It's one of my favourite pieces now. Though I only own a few, this is a must own I say. And I'm sure that counts for the entire Rider series. If I'm to have a good LotR collection it would be good enough with the riders. Course that's not the case but it's a good foundation! I'll try to post pics like Zurb does to tempt those that are wary!

Congrats Ghost on getting him. Its a bummer about the break but as you say it shouldn't be a biggy to glue it back on. The SS pieces are just no fragile. Looking forward to getting mine soon. Take a pic when you can.

Thanks B,

Yeah I was surprised after I had taken him out and noticed a sharp end to his hair and quickly opened the box up again to check if the piece was there, and it was inside some tissue paper. Hope yours comes in tip top shape. As soon as I get him situated I'll take some snap shots. I'm actually quite surprised they used the flimsy looking sword for him. Just too shiny and foily. Oh well still doesn't detract from the piece. Well get back to him soon.

There have been complaints about the sword. Is it really that flimsy?

Hmm, have you seen the Taskmaster bust from Bowen? That's a sturdy blade, resin and painted. This is more like a plastic coffee stirrer with foil wrapped around it. I might be exaggerating a bit, but I was thrown off at first. I had heard ppl have said that their swords were bent, but would fall back into place I just didn't think it was plastic. I don't know exactly what the material is. I'm sure Zurb and the others would give a better description as they have had it longer then I have.

Sweet Ghost! Glad you like it, it is a killer piece, massive too! I dunno Rick if they are poly. Could be I suppose but they seem really bendy for poly. Must get that quality from being so thin. Hope you remember how he was packed? I took pics before I de-papered him. He is really cool and I totally understand where you are coming from on where to grab it. Remember, 2 hands, no running. :D

Oh man, I might need those picks to help me pack him back up!! It was impulse, you know you wake up and you find a huuuge package at the door and just took him out. Let that be a lesson for me. I've just got him situated, took a couple of pics, now gonna take some with the hair reattached. Be back soon!

Here are pics I took of GWoS. The first 2 soft coloured picks are the ones right out of the box, and the blue toned pics are when he's already on display. (Man he takes up a huge amount of space!) Umm sorry bout the size of the pics, I just love them big, and if anyone can tell me how to attach pics that would be helpful. But for now, webhosting! Enjoy!

 Thanks! The visual is worse then how it sounds! Now I just need to get a Gandalf the Grey, and hope that my GtG bust comes in tomorrow! It's been a good week so far and it's already at the end, but it feels like it just started!

Haha, the plastic is a temporary wall for the moment, until the spring/summer comes around to build a real one! So for the time being, that plastic is my wall! I here I thought having multi coloured clothes in the background would bring out the hue in Gandy's eyes!

I got it on ebay from a seller who also has a site called, Kebam Collectibles (http://http://64.227.164.128/miva/merchant.mv?Screen=SFNT&Store_Code=kebam), I got it for like $115, but on his site he has it for $150 now I believe. Only 500 made I believe. I also got the Mr. Incredible Fat Bob Maxi bust which I gave to my father for Christmas. Tried to spread the disease that is statue collecting!

Yeah the first 2 pics are without the hair, and the rest have the hair back. As you can see I'm running out of space since the closet is showing :P

And I just saw that they no longer have them. Do a search, on ebay and google, I know there's at least 1 or 2 sellers out that have him. I think Nuff Said Collectibles also had him. Check them out.

Yeah that's what I've heard, thankfully mine's pretty sturdy and have him safely placed where he is.
